Finally a tax which will make you laugh.

Although being one of the smallest taxes in the world (0.05%), the financial transaction tax could make a big difference in fighting poverty in developing countries.

Opposition to the tax mainly came from banks and the financial sector. Hardly surprising because this tax applies to their highly speculative trading of financial products.

In summer 2012, after years of fighting, the government finally decided on launching the tax in Germany. And Oxfam couldn’t help sending their regards to the banks in form of this viral.

Thanks to the participation of famous german actors it was seen by hundreds of thousands of people and gained awareness for this difficult topic.
